About the position
We are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our Finance team. This role is responsible for managing end-to-end payroll processing for the Israeli entity and overseeing global payroll operations across all international entities through outsourced payroll providers. The Payroll Lead will serve as the central point of contact for all payroll-related matters, ensuring accuracy, compliance with local labor laws, and timely processing across all regions. The role reports directly to the Director of finance and works closely with HR, Finance, and external vendors.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end monthly payroll processing for the Israeli entity using Hargal payroll software, including salary calculations, tax withholdings, social security (Bituach Leumi), pension and provident fund contributions, and annual filings (Forms 126/856).
- Act as a point of reference in payroll related questions and requests in a professional and helpful manner for employees, managers and other team members while maintaining a high level of service and a helpful approach.
- Oversee and coordinate global payroll operations across all international entities (US, UK, Singapore, Brazil, and others) through outsourced providers including TriNet (US PEO), ensuring timely and accurate processing, compliance with local regulations, and alignment with company policies.
- Manage payroll-related data and journal entries in NetSuite, maintain employee records in HiBob (BOB), perform monthly payroll reconciliations, and serve as the central point of contact for all payroll inquiries from employees and cross-functional teams (HR, Finance, Legal). Support payroll-related audits, statutory reporting, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Own and manage the end-to-end employee expense reimbursement process using Mesh, including policy enforcement, receipt validation, approval workflows, and timely reimbursement processing. Ensure proper coding and reconciliation of expense reports in NetSuite.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on payroll experience in a global mid-size technology company (250–500 employees), with deep expertise in Israeli payroll processing and labor law compliance.
- Fluent English (written and verbal) is required.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple payroll cycles simultaneously across different time zones and jurisdictions.
- Education: Payroll Controller certification (Hashav Sachar) with proficiency in Israeli payroll systems.
Nice to have
- Experience working with payroll and HRIS systems – specifically Hargal (Israeli payroll), NetSuite (ERP), HiBob (HRIS), and TriNet (US PEO).
- Proficiency in Excel and payroll reporting tools.
